Hundreds of excited young people lined the beautiful Boulevard road at the base of the Zabarwan mountain range to watch the happening.
Srinagar held its first-ever Formula 4 car racing demonstration on Sunday on the shores of the renowned Dal Lake. The event captivated locals and motor racing enthusiasts alike as they observed stunts executed by professional Formula 4 drivers.
Sleek racing cars zoomed along a 1.7 km track from Lalit Ghat on the shores of Dal Lake to Nehru Park in the city.
Hundreds of excited young people gathered along the scenic Boulevard road at the base of the Zabarwan mountain range to watch the event.
Local authorities stated that the event aimed to boost tourism in the area and encourage young people to consider pursuing the sport professionally.
The event, a first for the Kashmir Valley, was arranged by the Federation of Motorsports Clubs of India, which is linked with the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi, in a message, expressed his belief that the event would highlight the beauty of Jammu and Kashmir even more.
“It’s wonderful to see this. It will further highlight the beauty of Jammu and Kashmir. India provides excellent opportunities for motorsports to flourish, and Srinagar is one of the top places where this can happen!” he remarked.
Elaborate plans were made by the authorities for the event, starting at 10 am and ending at 2 pm. Professional Formula 4 drivers performed stunts during the race. Additionally, these professionals shared their knowledge and experiences with young locals interested in the exciting motorsport.
