Badshah, the rapper, and actor Mrunal Thakur were seen clasping hands at a Diwali celebration on Sunday, leading to speculation about them dating.
Rapper-singer Badshah expressed regret for letting down the internet but clarified that he is not in a relationship with Mrunal Thakur. Addressing rumors circulating on Reddit and Twitter about their alleged romance, he posted a brief message on Instagram, stating, “Dear internet, sorry to disappoint you yet again, but it’s not what you think it is.” He didn’t specify the subject of his message.
Earlier in the week, a video emerged on social media showing Badshah and Mrunal Thakur leaving a Diwali party together, holding hands and sharing a car. The video gained attention on the Bolly Blinds and Gossip subreddit.

Badshah, whose real name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, was formerly married to Jasmine Masih; they separated in 2020. Their daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh, was born in January 2017.
He appears on the judging panel of India’s Got Talent alongside Shilpa Shetty and Kirron Kher.
Mrunal recently starred in the biographical war drama Pippa with Ishaan Khatter. Based on Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta’s book, The Burning Chaffees, the film is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and also features Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan in significant roles.
The film’s title pays homage to the PT-76 (Palavushi Tanka), a war tank known as Pippa, which floats smoothly on water like an empty ghee tin. This wartime narrative tells a patriotic tale, tracing the journey of Captain Balram Mehta (played by Ishaan) of the 45 Cavalry Tank Squadron. Together, Balram Mehta and the Indian Armed Forces exemplify valor and courage in a war for the liberation of another country.
