Fans on the GTA 6 subreddit have detected an Easter egg in the game’s trailer, hinting at a potential link between the two games, with Red Dead Redemption 2 being the source of this discovery.
GTA 6 is set to launch on Sony Playstation, Microsoft Xbox Series X, and Series S in 2025.
The GTA 6 trailer was revealed on December 5, offering a sneak peek into the visually stunning world of the game.
It confirmed that the setting would be Vice City, specifically in the state of Leonida. However, details about the storyline and other aspects remained undisclosed.
Despite the limited information on GTA 6, enthusiastic fans with sharp eyes have been uncovering hidden details and Easter eggs in the game. A dedicated subreddit has emerged, focusing solely on exploring GTA 6. In a recent finding, fans noticed an Easter egg from Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) featured in the trailer of the upcoming game, as reported by HT Tech.
Allegedly, a user named kammui07 on the GTA 6 subreddit shared details about a potential Easter egg connecting Red Dead Redemption 2 to GTA 6. The trailer for GTA 6 showcases Lucia and an unnamed male character engaging in a robbery at Uncle Jack’s Liquor, a convenience store. Notably, a poster featuring a mustached man is visible on the store window as they are about to enter.
While some may interpret it as a design choice for the store’s appearance, GTA 6 enthusiasts hold a different perspective. According to the subreddit post, the mustached man bears a resemblance to Sidney Metcalf, a wanted criminal from Red Dead Redemption 2.
In that game, Sidney Metcalf was sought either dead or alive, and posters depicted him as a “liar and a cheat,” notorious for violently robbing high-stakes card games across multiple states.
Speculations surrounding GTA 6 hint at groundbreaking mechanics not seen in previous video games. Rumors also suggest that the game may incorporate features from Red Dead Redemption 2. Notably, both main characters are rumored to possess loot bags allowing them to store consumables and cash, reminiscent of Arthur Morgan’s satchel functionality in RDR2.
GTA 6 might adopt a feature from Red Dead Redemption 2, incorporating a system for witnesses and police recognition. Similar to RDR2, the game could introduce fences, enabling players to sell stolen items. However, in this scenario, players might have the option to fence not just vehicles but also artwork.
