If you’re a ChatGPT Plus subscriber, you’re in line to receive a variety of fresh enhancements that could enhance your experience even further! Throughout 2023, the growth of ChatGPT has been truly remarkable. The artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot burst onto the scene in November 2022 and gained immense popularity for its ability to generate content from scratch. Since then, major competitors like Google and Microsoft have introduced their own AI chatbots. Therefore, OpenAI has had to continuously innovate to maintain its position in the AI chatbot competition, and it has certainly done so.
The latest update to ChatGPT Plus introduces two significant features that can greatly enhance the user experience, making the AI chatbot more valuable than ever. Let’s delve into these updates.
ChatGPT Plus Update As per a report from The Verge, numerous ChatGPT Plus subscribers have shared information about new modifications being introduced on the platform. For those who may not be aware, ChatGPT Plus is an optional subscription that provides access to an advanced GPT-4 model and unlocks additional features like the Code Interpreter and ChatGPT Plugins.

This update brings a significant new capability: the option to upload various file types, including PDFs, documents, and data files. These uploads enable ChatGPT to provide answers and visualize the data contained in these files, expanding its utility.
Additionally, another feature introduced in ChatGPT Plus is automatic tool switching. Users no longer need to manually toggle between Browsing, Advanced Data Analytics, Code Interpreter, and DALL.E while interacting with the AI chatbot. Now, ChatGPT will handle this switching automatically, although the option to switch tools manually is still available.
These functionalities were initially exclusive to the ChatGPT Enterprise plan, introduced in August, which offers enhanced privacy, security, and deployment tools for corporate clients of OpenAI. Notably, this means that the AI model used by these corporate clients does not train on their business data or conversations, ensuring data confidentiality and privacy. With this update, these features are now accessible to ChatGPT Plus subscribers as well.
