Contrary to earlier leaks suggesting satellite connectivity for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, a recent report suggests that this feature is unlikely to be included, setting it apart from the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
According to a report from ETNews, the release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is anticipated to happen earlier than previously thought, leading to the exclusion of satellite connectivity. Despite persistent rumors about this feature since the previous year, the Galaxy S23 Ultra did not include it. Although there was anticipation for its inclusion in the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra, the chances seem minimal according to the report.
For those unaware, the rumored satellite connectivity feature on the Galaxy S24 Ultra was envisioned to function similarly to Emergency SOS via satellite, allowing users to contact emergency services in critical situations where regular network connectivity is unavailable.
Expected Features: Speculation suggests that the upcoming flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, may come with a titanium frame, matching the build quality of competitors like the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Additional anticipated features include a flatter display, an advanced chipset, and an improved 50MP 5x telephoto camera.
As per the report, the flagship smartphone may be available in four distinct color options: Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow. It is also expected to feature a more level 6.8-inch QHD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, promising significant overall performance improvement.
In terms of specifications, the quad-camera setup on the rear is expected to include a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 10MP 3x zoom lens, and a 50MP 5x periscope lens. The smartphone may feature 12GB of RAM across all its storage configurations. In terms of connectivity, it may come equipped with Wi-Fi 7 and Ultra Wide Band (UWB).
