Satinderjit Singh, commonly recognized as Goldy Brar, arrived in Canada in 2017 under a student visa.
In June, Interpol issued red-corner notices for Goldy Brar following a request from the Punjab Police to Interpol through the CBI.
Satinderjit Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, arrived in Canada in 2017 on a student visa.
However, official notifications from the Centre reveal that Goldy Brar, the son of Shamsher Singh and Preetpal Kaur born on 11.04.1994 and currently residing in Brampton, Canada, is associated with the pro-Khalistan terrorist group Babbar Khalsa.
The government stated that Goldy Brar, supported by a cross-border agency, has been implicated in multiple murders and criminal activities. He is known for advocating radical ideology, making threatening calls to pro-nationalist leaders, extorting ransom, and showcasing claims of his criminal deeds on various social media platforms.
The Centre further reported that Goldy Brar has been actively engaged in smuggling high-grade arms, ammunition, and explosive materials using drones from across the border. These illicit supplies are allegedly intended for use in his violent activities.
According to official statements, Goldy Brar has been plotting to disturb the peace, communal harmony, and law and order in Punjab through various malicious schemes. These include sabotage, establishing terror modules, carrying out targeted killings, and participating in other activities deemed anti-national.
In the preceding year, the Central Government issued a red-corner notice to INTERPOL regarding Goldy Brar’s involvement in these criminal and terrorist activities. The government now seeks to designate Satwinder Singh, alias Satinderjit Singh, alias Goldy Brar, as a terrorist under the Fourth Schedule of the relevant Act.
